Since June 22, the City of Toronto has not been accepting any new building applications stalling many projects large and small, residential and commercial.
The Mayor has announced up to 500 building permit applications made prior to the strike and sitting in queue will be processed.
The Mayor is hoping to see builders and renovator once more back to work and buying material and putting shovels in the ground.
More Toronto economic activity can happen if resources are devote to process all the new building permit applications.
The Mayor is seen as making a sincere attempt to enable more construction work to proceed in the best interests of Toronto.
Now if he could just defer the Toronto Land Transfer Tax, we all could be happy selling even more Condos in the current Toronto Real Estate Market.
Toronto need all these new proposed Condos and should welcome a more investor friendly atmosphere to encourage the completion of all of them.
