Toronto Home and Condo Sales August 2011

Sales of resale homes across Canada surprised many analysts when they recorded strong gains in sales and prices.

Sales remained steady and prices rose modestly, especially in Toronto and Ottawa.

August resale housing showed sales of existing homes continued from the same levels in July and increased from August, 2010.

CREA went on to say that the number of balanced local real estate markets is the currently the highest on record.

The Toronto Real Estate Market posted strong gains in August with both sales and average prices increasing from last year.

Toronto Condos continue to be a strong segment of the overall housing market and more new Condos are scheduled in the next few months.
