Greater Toronto Area Realtors reported 4,986 home sales in January 2010, a strong start for Real Estate in 2010.
The average resale Toronto home price was $409,058 an increase of 19 per cent over the same month last year.
Comparison to the first quarter results of 2009 should show strong results in Real Estate sales and average price when made in comparison to the weak markets at the beginning of 2009.
This rebound in the Toronto Real Estate Market is now back to healthy levels prior to the World Financial Crisis and recession that followed. The January Toronto home sales were slightly higher than the January average in the five years preceding 2009.
What can we expect for Toronto Real Estate in 2010? According to the Toronto Real Estate Board "The rate of sales and price growth will be lower in the second half of 2010."
