Toronto Real Estate MLS transactions were up 17 per cent in 2009 from one year earlier.

Year-to-date Toronto MLS sales were 87,308 with an average resale price of $395,460 up 4.2 per cent for 2009.

New listings for December 2009 were 5,506 compared to the 5,215 new listings for 2008 but active listings for 2009 were down 47 per cent from 2008.

Real Estate services are now looking for a greater supply of listings for 2010
