The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 2,577 sales in December 2008 from Downtown Condos, North York Condos, Mississauga and Scarborough Condos and detached homes in all of the TREB's MLS listing areas.

Reporting the various Toronto Real Estate prices can be the average price or the median price in resale homes and Condos however I prefer to use the average price as a measure of the Real Estate Market.

The average Real Estate price for December 2008  in Toronto was $387,482 down from the $425,842 reported for the same time last year. This resulted in the average Toronto Home and Condo prices dropping 9 per cent.

The average Real Estate price in the 905 area was $341,847 down 5 per cent from the $360,307 average price of 2007.
