
Toronto's Bloor Street (pictured above) and Montreal's Ste-Catherine Street are the most expensive to lease in Canada.
Both average a retail rent of $300 USD per square foot annually according to a recent Colliers International report.
Here are some of the retail rentals Worldwide:
- Paris and New York-$1,000 per square foot
- Champs Elysees- $1,255.90 (Retail Corridor)
- New York's Fifth Avenue- $1,250
- Hong Kong Russell Street-$1,205.46
- London's Bond Street-$1,174.24
Colliers's went on to say that "regardless of what is happening in suburban shopping malls and on secondary streets, there'll be a strong demand for the No. 1 retail street in most markets."
The report went on to say that the prime shopping district in Toronto was up 7 per cent, Montreal's was even and Vancouver's highest prices were down 17 per cent.
