The city formed a corporation to develop City owned lands and benefit from the potential Real Estate values they had.
Toronto is taking on a more hands-on approach to the Toronto Eastern Waterfront compared to the Western Waterfront that is now home to thousands of new Condos.
Other new development in the Toronto Eastern Waterfront include:
- Sugar Beach
- Sherbourne Common
- George Brown Waterfront Campus
- Moshe-Safdie-designed Condominium
- East Bayfront
Parks and public spaces are also planned to include boardwalks and promenades.
